Tenant Handbook

General Entry Control

Wisconsin Place is equipped with a Datawatch security system that controls building access.

For the purpose of building and tenant security we ask that all tenants provide and keep an updated access list at the property management office. This list should contain the name and phone number of at least one contact person authorized to grant access to repair personnel, contractors, etc. If an individual requests access to your space, Boston Properties will try to reach the tenant’s contact person for verbal authorization. If the tenant contact can not be reached the person will not be given access to the tenant suite.

In case of after hour emergencies we ask that each tenant supply an emergency contact list to the Property Management office.

During off-hours when the complex is normally closed, there will be two (2) computer controlled entry points into Building; the main Lobby facing Wisconsin Avenue of the building and the West Lobby facing the Plaza. Proximity card readers are provided at these locations. Anyone wishing to enter the building must use their assigned access card at one of these readers to gain entry.

In addition to the card readers, a special telephone is provided with a direct line to Datawatch's 24 hour security monitor, who will admit approved visitors, guests and clients who do not have security cards.

All building elevators are also monitored. In the event of an emergency inside the elevator, the passenger may press the button located on the service panel that will connect to the 24-hour monitoring service. The security monitor will respond to your needs by contacting emergency response personnel (e.g., fire department, elevator repair personnel, duty engineer, etc.) The security monitor will also stay in communication with any person in the elevator car until an emergency responder arrives at the scene.
